Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fit-Out Draughtsman to support construction site operations through accurate shop drawings, as-built documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires strong site exposure, attention to detail, and hands-on coordination with consultants and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Drawings & Documentation

  • Prepare detailed Shop Drawings for fit-out works in accordance with project requirements.
  • Prepare accurate As-Built Drawings reflecting site conditions and executed works.
  • Revise drawings based on site changes, consultant comments, and approvals.

Site Coordination

  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors for drawing clarifications.
  • Provide prompt site clarifications to support ongoing construction activities.
  • Conduct site measurements and verification to ensure drawing accuracy.

Consultant Coordination

  • Prepare and submit drawings to Consultants for review and approval.
  • Address consultant comments and manage drawing revisions efficiently.
  • Ensure submissions comply with approved design intent and specifications.

Interface with Other Disciplines

  • Coordinate and interface with MEP and Structural teams to resolve clashes and ensure integration.
  • Support clash detection and coordination to avoid site conflicts.

Measurement & Verification

  • Verify site dimensions and conditions before issuing drawings.
  • Ensure drawings accurately reflect actual site measurements and installations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil / Architectural / Construction Engineering
  • 7–10 years of experience as a Fit-Out Draughtsman in construction projects
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); BIM experience is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of fit-out works, materials, and construction methods
  • Experience working on site-based projects
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Position Summary

  • The Maintenance Unit Supervisor is a salaried leadership role responsible for overseeing a union crew of electricians and mechanics, ensuring operational safety, reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Reporting to the Area Technical Leader, this role provides technical troubleshooting support, root cause analysis, and crew leadership while balancing productivity, recovery, and delivery performance.
  • This position involves supervising union employees on 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night) within established departmental schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide mechanical crafts, providing technical direction for maintenance activities.
  • Lead both planned and unplanned maintenance to achieve department performance goals.
  • Foster a safe and compliant work environment; conduct safety discussions and job-specific safety reviews.
  • Allocate and assign work fairly, prioritizing based on critical business needs.
  • Manage crew arrangements, including scheduling for planned/unplanned absences and vacation coverage.
  • Apply root cause analysis and rapid problem-solving techniques to maintain or restore production.
  • Collaborate with craftspeople, peers, and management to drive results and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure operational performance in safety, quality, quantity, timeliness, and recovery.
  • Support training and technical skill development of crew members.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED (accredited institution).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship not available).

Preferred:

  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with union environments and labor agreements.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (ABS).
