Role Summary
This
position involves representing a wide range of clients in construction-related
disputes, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, designers,
consultants, and public entities. The role spans the full litigation
lifecycle—from early dispute resolution and negotiation to arbitration and
courtroom litigation—within a collaborative litigation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in construction disputes and litigation matters.
- Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Conduct detailed legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs.
- Manage complex factual investigations and assist with trial preparation.
- Analyze and interpret construction contracts, including bonds and warranties.
- Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Support senior attorneys with case strategy development and client communications.
Skills & Qualifications
- Active California Bar membership (required).
- Demonstrated experience in complex litigation; construction litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Professional maturity and strong communication skills for client-facing work.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 4–8 years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to construction law or complex commercial disputes.
- Comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Interested in developing deeper expertise in construction litigation and dispute resolution.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a specialized practice group.
