Role Summary

This position involves representing a wide range of clients in construction-related disputes, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, designers, consultants, and public entities. The role spans the full litigation lifecycle—from early dispute resolution and negotiation to arbitration and courtroom litigation—within a collaborative litigation team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in construction disputes and litigation matters.
  • Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs.
  • Manage complex factual investigations and assist with trial preparation.
  • Analyze and interpret construction contracts, including bonds and warranties.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Support senior attorneys with case strategy development and client communications.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Active California Bar membership (required).
  • Demonstrated experience in complex litigation; construction litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Professional maturity and strong communication skills for client-facing work.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 4–8 years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to construction law or complex commercial disputes.
  • Comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Interested in developing deeper expertise in construction litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a specialized practice group.
