  • This position requires a balance of technical knowledge, project delivery expertise, and client engagement. The successful candidate will be a key player in guiding the company’s energy initiatives and managing multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Business Development
  • Lead sales and business development efforts within the energy sector
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, stakeholders, and energy partners
  • Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to staff, helping develop subject matter experts
  • Contribute to strategic planning, proposal development, and long-term energy initiatives
  • Stay informed on energy policies, technologies, and market changes to shape service offerings

Project & Program Management

  • Lead energy project delivery in line with scope, budget, and schedule
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams and workflows to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Manage project change orders, risk assessments, and billing processes
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, public hearings, and industry conferences
  • Coordinate closely with other practices/markets for integrated service delivery
  • Drive fee collection with support from accounting where needed
  • Make strategic decisions impacting operational growth in the energy domain

Team Leadership & Staff Development

  • Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring proper skill development and knowledge transfer
  • Coordinate internal assignments and staffing to optimize performance
  • Set team KPIs, monitor performance, and guide individuals to meet Success Plan goals
  • Manage external subconsultants and vendors

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in the energy market or on energy-related projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with national and regional energy clients and ESCOs (Energy Service Companies)
  • Proven experience in energy project development and client relationship management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or accredited energy professional
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or CEM (Certified Energy Manager)
  • Prior experience with energy design and field operations
  • Familiarity with local, regional, and state energy market players and regulations
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams

Working Conditions:

  • 80% of work will be performed in an office environment (hybrid model may apply)
  • 20% may include site visits, sometimes in varying weather conditions
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and light fieldwork may be required

About the Role:

  • Our client, a top-ranked engineering and infrastructure services provider, is seeking a Civil Engineer to support aviation infrastructure projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will contribute to landside civil design and project management for airports, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and subconsultants.
  • You’ll take on responsibilities in design, technical documentation, construction cost estimating, and project coordination for civil components supporting aviation clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Technical Documentation
    • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and quantity/cost estimates
    • Analyze topographic data, aerial photos, surveys, maps, and blueprints to plan civil works
    • Conduct design computations for grading, drainage, paving, and site development
    • Ensure project outputs adhere to quality control and organizational standards
    • Prepare and update technical specifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent credential
  • 4–8 years’ experience in civil engineering design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation
  • Experience with construction cost estimating and technical specification writing
  • Demonstrated task management experience in an engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders
  • Experience with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria
  • Background in road/highway design is a plus
  • Project team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of project management principles (budgeting, scheduling, etc.)
