Description
We
are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize
end‑to‑end supply chain operations within a meat manufacturing environment.
This role will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of
procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and
distribution to drive efficiency, cost reduction, compliance, and continuous
improvement.
IMPORTANT:
Food manufacturing experience is a MUST, and candidates with meat manufacturing

Key Responsibilities
- Develop
and deploy long‑term supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead
and optimize core supply chain functions including transportation, warehousing,
and inventory control.
- Collaborate
with manufacturing, operations, and sales to align production schedules with
demand forecasts.
- Coordinate
cross‑functional communication across departments to ensure execution
excellence.
- Oversee
sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods, ensuring
quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Monitor
logistics and supply chain performance metrics; diagnose issues and implement
corrective actions.
- Ensure
strict compliance with applicable industry regulations and food safety
standards.
- Build
and maintain robust supplier relationships to support operational objectives.
- Drive
continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost efficiency, material
planning, and supply chain integration.
- Provide
leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to supply chain teams.
- Partner
with finance, quality assurance, and operations teams to optimize performance
and cost outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or
related field.
- Minimum
7 years’ experience in supply chain/logistics management, with at least 3 years
in a leadership role.
- Food
manufacturing experience is required — with SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE in MEAT
MANUFACTURING.
- Demonstrated
experience with supply chain planning, procurement, and logistics in a
processing/manufacturing environment.
- Strong
knowledge of supply chain principles, ERP systems, regulatory compliance, and
quality standards relevant to food processing
- Excellent
leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong
analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Proven
ability to implement strategy and achieve operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience
with meat processing supply chain systems, forecasting, and raw material
procurement.
- ERP
experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
- History
of managing supply chain in high‑volume food production environments.
