Description:

Mselect is looking to hire a Senior Designer (Piping) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of detailed design engineering experience in brownfield modifications to oil and gas or similar facilities, which must include offshore experience with Shell DEPs, as well as familiarity with international codes and standards. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for producing engineering drawings/Work packs which conform to technical standards and the application of internationally acceptable engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Piping Engineering, but preferably a BE/BSc Degree
• Minimum 10 years detailed design engineering of brownfield modifications to oil and gas or similar facilities, which must include offshore, Conversant with Shell DEP’s, international codes and standards
• Much of the above experience should be working within a multi-cultural environment
• Must be fully conversant with advanced AutoCAD and have extensive knowledge of MS Office programs
• Exposure to document management systems is preferred
• Proficiency and hands-on knowledge in 3D modelling will be an added advantage
• Able to perform QA/QA on drawing deliverables, including: Verification of data accuracy, consistency, and quality of drawing format & presentation for symbology, layering, line types, borders, formats and drawing numbers in accordance with company standards
• A good command of written and spoken English

Mselect is looking to hire a Senior Instrumentation Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years relevant postgraduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry, Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation Engineering for all assigned engineering projects Achieving the technical quality of work by client procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE
• Conduct Instrumentation Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning
• Ensure the required client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed, in work-scopes and whilst conducting Instrumentation Engineering activities Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices
• Support the Engineering Department to review, update, and apply client standards and client amendments to external standards
• Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidisciplinary engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet the project requirements
• Co-ordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities Ensure that the work-scope is comprehensive and clear
• Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issues
• Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities, and ensure effective project delivery
• Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance
• Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices
• Support the development of personal technical competency and skills and those of Coworkers Participate in structured training for Associate Engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable. Experience:
• 10 years relevant postgraduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry
• Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and Codes about Instrumentation Engineering
• Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment
• Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English

Mselect is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore/offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield. Fluency in English is a must.

Job Purpose

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is required to support maintenance, asset integrity, and operations with their daily activities. The role involves managing the Concept/FEED/EPC design work for asset development projects carried out by Contractors and managed in-house, performing remaining life and fitness for service assessments, and providing all asset-related inputs to the major project team concerning mechanical static equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for analyzing, determining root cause failure, and recommending remedial solutions to ensure proper troubleshooting of reported problems on static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, flares, filters, various packages, cranes, etc
• Ensuring efficient project implementation, proactive facility improvement, and technical integrity in conjunction with client standards for surface facilities specific to static equipment
• Requirements
• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering; a chartered engineer is preferred or working towards it
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas onshore/offshore industry, both brownfield and greenfield, including a minimum of 10 years in facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design) and a minimum of 5 years in project execution, including construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance (including field troubleshooting)
• Computer literacy—Ability to operate standard computer software such as Microsoft applications
• Well-conversant with mechanical design software such as Pvelite & CodeCal or equivalent and international codes and standards
• Knowledge of rotating equipment
• Logical thinking and analytical skills
• Good presentation, communication, and writing skills Interpersonal ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams Aptitude for taking initiative
• Working knowledge of company business processes and regulatory requirements
• Managing and measuring work using appropriate metrics and key performance indicators
