Overview:

  • Perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilled and complex nature. Installs, repairs, and maintains manufacturing equipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operation of equipment and processes.
  • This position is moderately physical.

Responsibilites:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence.
  • Can navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for the purpose of troubleshooting equipment faults.
  • Can modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots. Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700.
  • Installs, moves, and aligns new and existing equipment.
  • Sets up and operates various types of machine shop equipment with a moderate degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Performs both gas and electric welding operations.
  • Completes related machine repair records, performs associated handling duties, and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Performs all necessary preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision and/or designated team leader.

Requirements:

  • Can navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for the purpose of troubleshooting equipment faults.

  • Performs both gas and electric welding operations.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence.

Must Have:

  • Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses).
  • 4+ years of related experience in Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding.
  • Maintenance Technician “A” level must be proficient at troubleshooting die casting machine cells through the use of PLC’s and electrical and hydraulic schematics.

What you’ll do:

  • Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations.
  • Need a basic understanding of PLC logic
  • Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.
  • Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
  • Perform electrical test operations.
  • Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures.
  • Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
  • Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
  • Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
  • Use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Journeymen or three (3) years of manufacturing maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade
  • Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
  • Must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY facility

Preferred qualifications:

  • CNC Maintenance experience
  • Background in machining and electrical equipment
  • Two-year degree in electronics with mechanical experience/Military electronics experience.
  • Experience with hydraulics

  • The ideal candidate will bring 20+ years of professional surveying experience, deep technical knowledge, and strong leadership skills to guide a high-performing team. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, field crews, and agency contacts to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Survey and Right-of-Way department, including staff development, resource planning, and quality control.
  • Oversee INDOT topographic surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, legal descriptions, and right-of-way engineering.
  • Lead the preparation and review of LCRs, field notes, survey base maps, plats, and ROW acquisition documents.
  • Serve as the firm’s expert on surveying standards, INDOT procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with field crews and CAD technicians to ensure accuracy and efficiency in deliverables.
  • Manage client relationships and provide technical support during proposal development and project execution.
  • Work with leadership to grow the department and pursue new business opportunities.
