Description:

Mselect is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of experience in multi-discipline Quantity Surveying specializing on offshore related oil and gas petrochemical projects Practical experience in Tenders, administration of EPIC Lump Sum or re-measurable Contracts, BOQ preparation and Estimation are required. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  • A minimum 12 years of experience in multi-discipline Quantity Surveying specializing on offshore related oil and gas petrochemical projects Practical experience in Tenders, administration of EPIC Lump Sum or re-measurable Contracts, BOQ preparation and Estimation are required
  • Should have exposure to SAP & MS Office applications
  • Experience in working for the Client and Contractor in the Engineering office, Fabrication Sites and offshore
  • Excellent analytical skills, experience of Contract scope and interpretation
  • Experience working in multi-cultural environments desired
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • A high degree of literacy in the English language (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight time constraints

  • Experience in managing time, cost and quality in engineering projects within multiple project environments
  • Good communication and Presentation skills, and be fluent in English
  • Experienced in the latest relevant design software, including BIM
  • Experienced in resolving technical challenges related to relevant e-Engineering work and adjacent discipline issues
  • Ability to prioritise and conclude multiple tasks in a timely manner to meet scheduled deadlines alongside unscheduled urgent activities
  • Ability to coordinate with and promote teamwork amongst stakeholders, co-workers and external organisations

  • Provide technical design and engineering services in Civil/Structural Engineering (Onshore) for all assigned engineering projects, achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE
  • Conduct Civil/Structural Engineering (Onshore) Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning

  • Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
  • 10 years relevant post-graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry
  • Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Civil/Structural Engineering (Onshore) Engineering
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment
  • Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English
