Job Purpose

Acts as the liaison for customers and/or production departments. Ensures that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards. Acts as a mentor and trainer for Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program, train and implement CMM inspections.
  • Prepare and submit PPAP’s per company and/or customer requirements.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of operational processes and outputs.
  • Design quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions.
  • Act as the Quality Assurance Representative for APQP and all related issues.
  • Work in conjunction with customers, engineering, and production departments to resolve internal and customer issues.
  • Oversees and champion all external and internal problem-solving teams.
  • Serve as an associate member of the Material Review Board.
  • Conduct off-site quality system surveys with the Purchasing Department of our suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensures that follow-up corrective action is addressed, implemented and is effective.
  • Submit and attain customer deviations as required.
  • Audit internal quality systems and improves them as needed.
  • Train and mentor Quality Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors.
  • Prepares and submits monthly forecasts to the Quality Manager for any/all cost affiliated with the position.
