Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr IoT Team Lead with expertise in various IoT platforms preferably in ThingWorx to join our innovative team. This role is ideal for a passionate professional with strong technical, leadership, project management, and client communication skills. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cutting-edge IoT solutions, driving customer engagement, and contributing to technical pre-sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a talented team in designing and implementing scalable Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions using multiple IoT platforms
  • Engage in client communication, gathering requirements, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Manage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Contribute to technical pre-sales activities, including solution presentations and demonstrations.
  • Build applications for IoT using advanced technologies and IoT platforms, including JavaScript, CSS frameworks, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate IIoT technologies into manufacturing ecosystems and business work flows, driving efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Oversee end-to-end project management, ensuring timely execution and high-quality delivery.
  • Architect and lead the development of a scalable and secure IoT infrastructure, incorporating best practices for performance, data protection, and cloud integration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IoT platforms, with at least 7 years in diverse IoT environments
  • Strong expertise in project management and technical pre-sales engagements.
  • Proven experience in client and vendor communication for successful collaboration.
  • Experience in deploying IIoT solutions in at least three manufacturing plants/customers from inception to delivery
  • PTC ThingWorx Associate Certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MES Modules and experience in MES is preferred

Required Skills: Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience in medium/large-scale IoT solutions beyond ThingWorx.
  • Strong understanding of gateways and communication protocols (Kepware, EWON, MQTT, HTTPs, OPC UA/DA).
  • Proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL,MSSQL, InfluxDB).
  • Expertise in REST APIs, JSON, and API integrations (ERP, CRM, MES).

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Strong team management and project leadership skills.

Revenue Operations & Process Optimization (30 percent)

  • Design and implement scalable sales processes to support growth and efficiency.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics (via HubSpot) to forecast revenue and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Document sales specifications, customer preferences, and project details to enhance organizational learning.
  • Work with Logistics and Fulfillment to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of products to clients.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales and operational reports to leadership.

Sales Leadership & Execution (70 percent)

  • With the Head of Sales, help develop and execute a sales strategy to meet revenue targets for Carbon Smart Wood™.

  • Conduct lunch-and-learns, presentations, and client education sessions to promote sustainable building materials.

About You: Required:

  • 8-10 years of experience scaling sales organizations.
  • Previous experience in a scaling startup required.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership with direct client engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of wood products, sustainable building materials, and construction industry trends desired.
  • Strong operational acumen, with experience optimizing sales processes and using CRMs like HubSpot.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time to meet clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sustainable wood product companies (e.g., Kebony, Accoya) or building materials industries.
  • Existing network within architecture, design, or manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with specifications, proposals, and bid submissions.
  • Passion for sustainability and circular economy practices.
