JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • This position requires demonstrated technical proficiency in software design and configuration of MES solutions with integration capabilities to level two and four systems.
  • The Senior MES Engineer will interact directly with the customer and lead a team of our client's engineers in identifying requirements, evaluating MES platforms, developing specifications, and implementing/testing/commissioning/qualifying MES solutions.
  • This position is a leadership role within the business unit and requires strong problem-solving ability, well-balanced people skills, an aptitude for business efficiency, and an interest in creating partnerships.
  • The Senior MES Engineer demonstrates success by securing repeat work with both new and existing customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position requires the ability to deliver innovative MES solutions and design standards either self-directedly or as a leader of a team. The candidate will act as a solution architect and must have the ability to conceptualize, detail, and implement MES Solutions for industrial processes and machinery that meet our customers’ requirements. This involves the development of an MES strategy that integrates process knowledge, equipment design, and quality standards with information technology to reduce downtime, elevate the level of regulatory compliance, and introduce efficiency gains through the effective use of available technologies.
  • This position oftentimes requires the following project management responsibilities: developing project execution plans, work breakdown structures, and associated budgets, task prioritization and scheduling, task ordering, time tracking, and reporting, financial tracking and reporting, early problem identification, conflict management/resolution, leading and supporting a team, and attending project status meetings. Also includes overseeing daily operations and activities of a project(s) up to $1M. This position is often responsible for ensuring the overall profitability of the project.
  • The ideal candidate must have a diverse engineering skillset with the ability to work independently. Will act as technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers and technicians. Could also act as Project Manager on smaller projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science or the Applied Sciences required.
  • Experience – Greater than 10 years with capabilities in the below areas is preferred:
  • MES solution deployment experience with but not limited to Werum PAS-X, Sepasoft, or POMS
  • Proven experience with all phases of MES projects including conceptual, basis of design, implementation, testing, start-up, and commissioning in the Life Science industry
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements of the life science industry such as cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with designing and implementing integrated EBR recipes using GAMP5, S88, and S95 standards
  • Understand the manufacturing processes and system configuration and make informed recommendations regarding optimal system configuration
  • Understanding of warehouse and inventory management specifically in a GMP facility
  • Support software and configuration required for external systems interfaces such as DeltaV, SAP, LIMS, PI, and Maximo
  • Strong knowledge of historian technology and reporting systems
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of IT/OT networking
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Experience leading a team of engineers/technicians to provide MES solutions

Requirements

Mselect is looking to hire a QC Inspector Welding/NDT (Topside Fabrication and Installation) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream Industry with an international consultancy company. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the quality requirements of the fabrication, construction and installation activities, as detailed in the client’s main contractor-approved QC procedure and plans, are implemented by the client’s approved project documents
  • Ensure that contractors, subcontractors and Vendors have the required competent resources, implant internationally acceptable practices and deliver a product in compliance with Corporate and Project Quality requirements
  • Monitor all site and fabrication yard welding activities and ensure that all welding joints were welded as per approved WPSs
  • Attend all PQR’s mechanical testing to ensure complete implementation of corporate standard requirements
  • Witness all contactors’ welders' qualification tests and evaluate their visual and NDT results
  • Witness all site or fabrication yard NDT daily activities, carry out the interpretation for test results, and evaluate the findings outs
  • Monitor the stage (in-process) inspection of offshore steel structure fabrications, and top-side facilities at contractor fabrication premises and verify the product conformity to the client’s corporate standard, project specs, and international codes/standard
  • Report daily to the QA/QC Engineer and advise him on the client’s main contractor compliance with contract procedures and standards and any matters affecting quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum high technical school or equivalent welding/NDT certification from a recognized organization such as AWS, TWI, API, ASME, ASNT…etc, TWI CSWIP 32 or AWS SCWI in welding is a must and ASNT LEVEL II in NDT
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream Industry with an international consultancy company, third-party inspection/certification Company, EPIC contractor or end user in major project implementation is essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Departmental HSE management system to include Department HSE Objectives and Initiatives, HSE Key Performance Indicators, HSE-related procedures, guidelines, standards, and policies to ensure Department business activities are conducted in a safe, secure and healthy manner and compliance with VP HSE and Corporate requirements
  • Review the Scope of Work (SoW) and specify the HSE requirements at the early stage/appropriate stage for the projects in its life cycle based on corporate requirements/project technical requirements
  • Participate in the Technical Bid Evaluation for all new projects and review/provide comments for the submitted tenderers
  • Review the Project’s high-level HSE documentation and conduct periodic internal audits/assessments on site to ensure project teams are compliant with HSE requirements Monitor and participate as Auditor in critical HSE compliance audits, inspections, and reviews within the Infrastructure and Civil Project Department to ensure Projects compliance with HSE Requirements Facilitate HSE audit by Corporate/Certification agency and assure compliance
  • Guide, facilitate and monitor implementation of HSE Legal requirements, regulatory bodies, national laws and regulations, and state-ratified international conventions and protocols within Infrastructure and Civil Projects and business activities
  • Assist in all respects with the QHSE certification activities (such as Risk Assessments/Targets & Objectives/Monitoring & Performance/report compilation to PI/VP level)
  • Provide HSE guidance and support to the Project HSE team to ensure implementation of various Corporate and Directorate HSE requirements, procedures, and standards throughout the project duration Establish Departmental annual HSE objectives and performance targets in line with VP and corporate guidelines as applicable for PI projects Guide and monitor timely reporting, investigation including implementation of close-out of preventive and corrective actions of HSE incidents that occur within projects and business activities to ensure compliance with corporate procedure for Incident Reporting, Investigation & Learning Develop and maintain consolidated records, Lessons Learnt Registers, Root Cause Analysis at Department Level
  • Establish records of Project HSE risk register at the Departmental level from the Projects to ensure proper recording and monitoring of Project HSE Risks
  • Participate in the HSE studies recommended for each project and provide necessary inputs during those study sessions
  • Guide and monitor Project HSE teams in enhancing HSE awareness amongst staff and Contractors Facilitate identification of training needs and promote enhancement of HSE skills and competence amongst Department staff in line with corporate HSE competency to attain a high level of HSE awareness amongst staff and Contractors
  • Guide and facilitate in formalizing Contractor’s HSE Organization, HSE personnel/Safety Engineers/Safety Officers CV’s Conduct competence assessment test/personal interview before mobilization of Contractors HSE personnel at project site to ensure compliance with Corporate Standards for Managing HSE in Contracts Visit project sites to ensure and establish coordination with Project HSE teams for effective implementation of HSE requirements at Project level

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an internationally recognized University Certifications/diploma in OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in HSE Management functions and exposure to construction safety for major Infrastructure and/or oil & gas projects of which at least the last 5 years in a similar HSE Senior position Wide exposure to development and implementation of HSE Targets and Objectives, Key Performance Indicators, Statistics and Performance Monitoring
  • Familiar with ISO and OSHA standards and established international codes and standards
  • Experienced in providing safety management and supervision to Project HSE personnel
  • Experienced in the development of project HSE-related plans, philosophies and specifications Relevant skills in HSE Studies, Environmental assessments and Project HSE Risk Registers
  • Experienced as an auditor in key and critical HSE compliance audits, inspections and reviews within Departments and Contractors
  • Experienced investigation, review and analysis of work-related accidents/incidents including root cause and lessons learned and ensuring implementation and close-out of preventive and corrective actions
  • Experienced in providing safety training and awareness courses to company staff and Contractors
