Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for managing and executing tire vehicle testing within North America for Kumho America Technical Center (KATC). This includes scheduling, obtaining quotes, acquiring test vehicles and wheels, ordering necessary benchmark tires, collecting test data, creating official test reports, and communicating results back to the requested tire engineer. Ability and willingness to travel within North America to test sites as programs dictate. Working with other KATC test drivers as well as other OEM test drivers to correlate testing procedures and evaluations. Collaborate with KATC tire engineers to continuously improve data collection process. Communicate with KATC warehouse technician to assist with shipping desired tires and or wheels.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule test tracks and obtain quotes through Proving Grounds

  • Analyze geographical data using GIS software to support project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding surveying practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to integrate survey data into project designs.
  • Train and mentor junior survey staff on best practices and technical skills.
  • Review and validate survey results for accuracy before submission to clients.

Skills

  • WV Professional Surveyor license preferred. Additional state licensures a plus.
  • 10 + years experience preferred in land surveying
  • Management experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Carlson Surv CAD
  • Experience in oil & gas industry road design & well pad design, construction layout, ALTA and boundary surveys.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients and team members through excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in land surveying.

Job Description:

  • Professional civil engineering firm is seeking a successful civil engineer to join us in providing our clients with personal, inclusive and timely service in an effort to foster long-standing business relationships.
  • A motivated licensed Professional Engineer will be responsible for designing and coordination of various projects from initial client contact thru construction.
  • The candidate will be responsible for projects that range from feasibility and drainage studies, land development construction documents, obtaining necessary permits, construction observation, and construction layout.

Responsibilities:

  • Duties will include preparing client contracts, scheduling survey crews, preparing construction documents, opinion of construction costs, village submittals and review, permit applications including the Illinois EPA, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, FEMA, and the Army Corp of Engineers, field observation and coordination of construction. Knowledge of AutoCad and Micro Station helpful.

Expected qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Licensed IL Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred
  • Land development design, grading design, sanitary sewer and watermain design, roadway design, stormwater management analysis and design, best management practices, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Working knowledge of Microstation, Geopak/Open Roads, familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, TR20, EPASWMM a benefit
  • Preparing stormwater management reports, storm sewer calculations, compensatory storage calculations, detention basin and restrictor sizing
  • Preparing permit applications and submittal documents for local agencies, stormwater management permits, IEPA NPDES, IEPA sanitary & water, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, FEMA, and the Army Corp of Engineers
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, business and technical writing
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic to manage multiple projects and meet client goals
  • Project coordinator for client contact, scheduling tasks and interaction with reviewing agencies and other stakeholders. Ability to multi-task and take on multiple projects at a time
  • Proficiency in critical thinking and problem solving
